Hebrews Chp 8: Faulty Law is Ready To Vanish Away

Revelatory grace walk through, verse by verse study of, Hebrews 8.
Sum of Heb 1-7: If law was faultless, there would be no need for grace.
Law waxeth old, of old/new. Law is faulty of faulty/faultless law/grace.
So, law is both ready to vanish away, and "shall vanish": 1Cor 13:8.

Hear what Ghostly Law saith; From both sides of L/R heavens on high.

Hebrews Chapter 8

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

General Theme of Hebrews Chapter 8: Faulty Law Decayeth
Faulty Law decayeth & waxeth old of old/new law/grace. Law is Ready To Vanish Away.

Hebrews Chp 8 is the sum of Hebrews 1-7, as what's evident, so far, from the biblical evidence.
Of divided plural left/right (law/grace) heavens; Faulty law is not right in such left/right heavens.
Law is faulty (of faulty/faultless), old (of old/new). Law waxeth so old it's ready to vanish away.
Connecting of Hebrews 8:13 to 1Corinthians 13:8; Law is ready to vanish away, and shall vanish.
Law knowledge puffeth up to highminded. Grace & Truth Edify & Exhort go on to what's higher.

Hebrews chp 8 begins with notification things spoken of in Hebrews 1-7 are now being summed up, as to what's evident, so far, from evidence given about how merciless and faulty law was. The summation speaks of "the Majesty in the heavens"(plural), and of law not being right of such, nor new, but rather old and left. Faulty Law should be left behind, flushed as dung, to go on to perfection: grace void of law, is mercy void of sacrifice, is peace void of division and confusion. God is not the author of confusion, but of peace; Which is to allegory say God is not the author of death <-- sin <-- law, but of grace --> mercy --> peace, true peace (rest) void of carnal divisions.

Hebrews 8 ends by concluding faulty law decayeth and waxeth old, so old it's ready to vanish away. So going on unto perfection, from Hebrews 6:1 to 13:25, involves let law vanish, for it says in 1Corinthians 13:8 law knowledge "shall vanish". Allegorically law glory is as if nothing at all in comparison to grace glory: 2Corinthians 3; For when law glory is compared to grace glory (grace glory is so "much more" glory us), then law glory fades to nothing at all just as the moon & stars vanish daily at the coming of the sun of righteousness. Which things are an "allegory": Galatians 4, an allegoric "mystery" to solve in time by "seek and ye shall find"... "find grace", and "in time" to obtain mercy (not sacrifice) and get help (not hind-rance) at the "throne of grace": Hebrews 4:16.

Verse by Verse Commentary on Hebrews Chapter 8:

Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

The sum, so far, in a progressive walk from imperfection to perfection (later becomes a run when seeing we also are compassed about by cloudy witnesses), notably still speaks of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, of divided God in plural divided left/right heavens, instead of a unified God in heaven that's higher than the heavens. So it's not the eternal reign of God in heaven, but the temporal reign of the Majesty in the heavens; Nor the throne of grace, but perhaps the throne of iniquity (the throne of David, the throne of kings, the throne of Israel). So far, the high priest we have is notably "set" (seated, not standing) "on" the right hand of such left/right heavens on high; Seated on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens (obviously not the God of all grace nor the throne of grace where only mercy is obtain-able Heb 4:16). For LAW saith to Law: Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool: Matthew 22:44; Which is to allegory say sit and watch while Law worketh Wrath (the unjust judge; the schoolmaster which fails every student; the Ghost which neither pardons nor excuses any of them vs them who oppose themselves) takes "vengeance is mine" on all of them vs them who ask to be avenged (lawed), of such bwd Revelation 13 LAW<--Law. By such NT LAW<--Law it's still all perish by the curse of the law instead of none perish by grace. So then, perhaps what's spoken (of spake/spoke) to us (of them/us) by Son (of prophets/Son) in last days (of time past/last days) and by a plural GOD in Hebrews 1, is another law, rather than grace --> mercy --> peace.

Hebrews 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

So far, the high priest we have, seated on the right hand of the Majesty in the heavens, is a minister (public servant), notably a minister of both the sanctuary (candlestick, table, shewbread: Heb 9:2) and of the true tabernacle. Such denotes this high priest, this minister, ministers both false and true; Which is to say ministers both law and grace, rather than grace and truth. God our Father is not a man who should lie or die, but for the sake of the God shew this plural God has a right hand man, a high priest, who's minister of both false/true things being pitched at us by Law/Grace. But that God who is light void of darkness throws the greatest pitch, putting law out of the game once and for all.

Hebrews 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

High priests (ministers) offer gifts (money, praise) and sacrifices (victims) to Majestic Law on high, and so does "this man" (this high priest, this minister). Furthermore it's of "necessity", since Law cannot do without money and victims, nor exist without being given place, authority, and praise. On the contrary God's grace is sufficient, of and by itself, when hindering law is not added. For adding law to grace is like adding cursed to blessed, destruction to salvation, thereby adding death to life.

Hebrews 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

If he were on earth, where our Father's will (I will have mercy, and not sacrifice) is to be done (in order to receive the promise): Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven (in heaven it's always merciful, never sacrificial), then he wouldn't be a priest. For priests offer gifts according to the law; And according to the law (lie) it's surely die, not surely live. Not to mention the allegoric difference between singular "priest" and plural "priests" is the difference between grace and grace + law.

Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

Law servants serve law; but the higher exhortation is be not servants, but a Son, friend, brother. The pattern, shewed to Moses in the mount (Sinai), by an admonishing God (
chrematizo) who upbraids (laws: reviles, scolds), was to serve more shadowy law: darkness to the people who said a double minded "Amen, amen" to being both blessed and cursed by priests. Priests serve unto the shadow (law: dark version) of heavenly things. The God who "admonished" Moses was not Grace, for the God of all grace does not upbraid: James 1. In the same manner Jesus Christ neither obeyed nor disobeyed law, but gave law (great trib) no place: was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be: Mt 24:21. For inexcusable law will cast your unbelief and hardness of heart back in your teeth, or take vengeance on all them asking to be avenged by an unjust judge. So let us hear what the Law: the unjust judge saith. I'll continue to accuse, condemn, upbraid, concupiscence, steal, kill, and destroy until I am dismissed, to the point of blotted out ... vanish.

Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Notably "hath he" isn't a statement made, but a hidden question posed; whereas 'he hath' would be a statement in which things are an allegory and mystery to solve. The allegoric mystery has tricky wording; So "take heed" is often advised, with reason being not to get deceived; And "give more earnest heed" to what's been said is required to escape wrath to come: Hebrews 2. Yet of twain ministrations one seems to be "more excellent": ministration of the spirit (instead of the ministration of death), as the ministration of righteousness (instead of the ministration of condemnation). One high priest of twain also seems to be the mediator of a "better" covenant of two covenants the two sons of Abraham allegorically are in Galatians 4. And of two covenants, the second and better one of twain seems to be established on "better" promises. But things are not always as they seem; And what's better for some is not what's best for all, of three things (Good -->Better) --> Best. For a mediator is not a mediator of one nor of things that agree, but of two things that disagree, such as law vs grace. Furthermore we're told we'll reap whatever we sow. So, if we sow law, we'll reap law worketh wrath from this mediator, the man Christ Jesus, in whom all suffer. Suffering isn't joy us. So let us consider CJ is not JC; And JC is the only foundation laid to build on: Mt 1:1 ... 1Cor 3:11.

Hebrews 8:7 For if that first [covenant] had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Aha, we finally get to the meat of the matter: fault-finding law is faulty, not faultless like His Grace. So if law had been faultless, there would not have been a need for grace as the second coming of law/grace. So to make things all right, of left/right isn't all right, we're later told, in Hebrews 10:9 that he taketh away the first that he may establish the second. The operation of God takes away laws (death) in order to establish grace (life), by taking away sacrifices to establish mercy, thereby taking away divisions to establish peace; And in Hebrews 9 we'll soon find out the only way to establish grace is to make the law dead testator. For Grace cannot be of "force" as long as Law is the living God; And it's a fearful (tormenting) thing to fall into the (plural) hands of the living God if the living God be Law worketh wrath. So it behooves us to compare, rather than mix, two Gods: Law vs Grace, which are as Enmity vs Friend, and as Death vs Life. Contrary things cannot co-exist in peace, so to have peace Law has to become dead testator for Grace to be of force. Christ is our peace who abolished the law (the enmity). For de-fault goes to the law (pun intended).

Hebrews 8:8
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Which of twain Gods finds fault with "them" (of them/us) of two Gods opposed about them? Obviously not "that God" who was "in Christ" (is the end of the law) reconciling the world unto himself; For we're told that God in Christ does not impute their trespasses unto them: 2Cor 5:19. Obviously then it's Law God which concluded them all in unbelief, who found fault with them all of them vs them (the house of Israel and the house of Judah). Since there is twain of everything to sort out in a God shew having Old and New Testaments, it seems there are also (plural) days to come in which the Lord will make a new covenant with plural houses: the house of Israel and the house of Judah. But the "household of God" is not plural houses, but a house of unity (oneness) of the Spirit built upon a rock solid foundation: Jesus Christ (not Christ Jesus).

Hebrews 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

Of covenants, the new is not according to the old, nor is I will according to will I; The point being grace is not according to law, for they are contrary things which can't coexist any more than war and peace coexist.  Fault finding law found fault with them, whereas no fault grace does not law impute their trespasses unto them (see 2Cor 5:19). Faulty grace + law (saved + destroyed) led them out of Egypt, but then destroyed them all afterward (see Jude 1:5) via the curse of the law, which demands everyone keep all the law all the time, else all are accursed. The POINT of such allegoric mystery is grace + law is as life + death = dead end. So, let us have grace only to have life only.

Hebrews 8:10 For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Of Jacob-->Israel, we're talking Israel; Yet of houses: the house of Israel and the house of Judah, we're only talking the house of Israel here; And of this/that, we're bwd talking "this". So we're talking law of law/grace, lie of lie/truth, and partiality: only the house of Israel, of two houses previously mentioned. So perhaps this is only one of two new covenants to sort out and compare.

Having (plural) laws put into their mind causes them to become law law, which can also result in law vs law = loser vs loser: a house divided against itself falls to ruin, desolation. There no winners in a court of law, only degrees of losers. Law vs Law occurs in the midst (Rom 8 of Rom 1 -16)) until it becomes LAW<--Law. It's kinda like having two Gods in the midst of seven last utterances of Jesus, which notably results in being "forsaken". But there is no law at all at the end of Romans, nor any law at all at the end of any of the Pauline Epistles, including Revelation (Uncovering).

The use of the biblical term "after those days" suggests an allegoric look at other Bible verses such as Jeremiah 31:33; Luke 1:24; Acts 21:15; and Hebrews 10:16. The ministration Elizabeth's husband finished in Luke 1:23 was law, a ministration of condemnation and death in 2Cor 3:7,9.

Having plural laws in the mind, and them in (plural) hearts, suggests both a conscience not purged of sins and as in Adam (them: Genesis 5) all die. So let's not have a lawed mind nor plural hearts.

As for the house of Judah, we read in Hosea 1:7 "But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen".

Hebrews 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Until we all get it: understanding, it seems we're all grounded; For it would not do for one to get it and another not to get it, since "a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump" just like a little cancer us law can kill the whole body if not removed in time. So what was allegorically written: Galatians 4: cast out the bondwoman and her son: cast out the law and the result of law: sin and death; and notably written aforetime, wasn't written for teaching, but rather was written for our "learning": Romans 15:4. For it is preposterous order to teach first and learn after, as many seem to do.

Hebrews 8:12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Notice the use of both "I will" and "will I". Do not be fooled by "will I", the opposite of "I will". Whenever both are used together it's as if grace + law, which is as if life + death = a dead end. Eternal grace has no such begin nor such deadly end. God never saw good + evil in the first place, only "good" x 6  and "very good" 7th time in Genesis 1. True love isn't blind. Ignorance isn't bliss.

True merciful doesn't even give place to unrighteousness nor to sins nor to iniquities of law, just as charity thinketh no evil (grace thinketh no law), as "the God of all grace" is the God of no law, as that God of this/that Gods is all light and no darkness at all. Sin imputation plus cover up blessed, when uncovered, is impish and deadly; for when law imputed sin is finished it bringeth forth death: James 1:15; For law is both the source of sin: Romans 4:15; 5:13 and the "strength" of sin's death sting: 1Corinthians 15:56. So law is the "strong man" of the house of sin and death to bind in order to spoil such a Mosaic house of sin and death by law.

Hebrews 8:13  In that he saith, A new [covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old [is] ready to vanish away.

Many (deceived by many) confuse first/second law/law (Matthew 22:36-40) with first/second law/grace (John 1:17); Not knowing when it comes to laws, the second is like the first, which is sin and death (Romans 8:2). So they partition OT Law and NT Law instead of flushing all law as dung to gain Christ is the end of the law: Romans 10:4, and not the mend of law: Luke 5:37.

In that (of this/that) he saith new (of old/new), it makes the first (of first/second) old (of old/new). So saying grace and speaking truth makes faulty law old; And of then/now, it's now that the law decayeth and waxeth so old it's ready to vanish away. For law had an expiry date, which expired long ago, so such spiritual food decayeth and waxeth old. And it's not only ready to vanish (poof goes the dragon), but it "shall vanish": 1Corinthians 13:8! Indeed there is no law at all, not even mention of it, in the conclusion of Hebrews: "Grace with you all. Amen." and the conclusion of Revelation: "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.".
